I'm really sad to see some of my favourite peeps on the thread get Waitlisted. cereal255, raabend, dharmabum, manbilla: I hope you'll get offers from your top choice schools this week. If it's any comfort to you at all, there's generally a lot of movement on the R1 waitlist. IIRC, I think in the link to the archived chat transcript I posted earlier in the thread, it was said that almost 30 on a waitlist of 75 would get offers. Hang in there! ryguy904, congratulations! I'm delighted for you. LeftOut, come on you've spent far too long in Ithaca anyway. Shrug it off!

Thanks for the words of encouragement Solaris! I'm chalking it up to a lack of focused career goals in my interview... I have a feeling that they're very worried about job placements and such this year. Good luck to everyone!
