How long does it usually take for interview invites (or rejections) to come out?

It is still a mystery to most folks. Darden hasn't released any information, but I am guessing that the Director of Admission is going to make a video blog in November, discussing the terms of interview invitations. Judging from last year's timeline, the interview invitations will probably start going out in about 3 weeks from today (this is a pure guess) and will probably last until the last date of notification.

Hi Darden applicants. I am current Darden SY and can speak a little to the timeline for interview invites. When I applied, invites for Round I BEGAN to come out in early November. The key thing to remember is that an applicant can receive and interview invite any time, all the way up to that round's acceptance decisions go out. Basically, if you don't receive an interview invitation in October or November, don't worry.

Let me know if I can help with any other questions.

So if I receive an interview invitation, is the interview date flexible? i.e., if I'm invited in early November, can I request that I interview in early/mid-December?

I interviewed last year and the dates are somewhat flexible. Darden offers interviews on specific days and you can pick from what is available. Tough to say specifically that if you get in an interview, you will be able to pick the exact date that you want.

I think the thing to remember is that if offered an interview, act quickly to take advantage of more open slots.

Any idea how many slots are open each day?

Has anyone read this guy's blog? You always hear a lot about how busy Darden students are but this makes the school seem livable, maybe even fun.

For R1 applicants, has anyone received an email indicating their application is complete? Did this get pushed back b/c of the delay in R1 deadline or should we still be expecting this week?

Does anyone know how much having two typos and 4-5 missed commas hurt the chances of admission?

It does? I think you are misinterpreting it. Mid-decision is Mid-Novemeber. That's when everyone will hear about interview invitations. My guess is that interviews will run up to just before Christmas.
