Could someone please post the WL notification that Darden provided if you still have it? I looked at it briefly on my phone and hit accept, after which the text disappeared, so now I'm not sure if it had any useful information on how to increase my chances...
Any advice on how to get in off the WL would be appreciated as well! I really want to go there this fall.

They did not write in that msg any useful information as for what one can do if waitlisted. But on the Darden website it says:

Quote:
Waitlist
If you choose to remain on the waitlist, it is completely appropriate to keep the Admissions Committee apprised of any changes that would substantively change your application (e.g., a new GMAT score, promotion, new work-related responsibilities). Your application will be reviewed again during subsequent rounds until a final decision is rendered. Please let the Admissions Office know as soon as possible if you decide to make other plans.

Ding. Pretty disappointed but not surprised. My interview did not go as planned. I interviewed with an admission rep. The admin rep was extremely disrespectful and down right rude. For half of the interview, he was staring at a picture on his wall and the other half of the interview he was playing with his cell phone and sending out texts. Needless to say, it was the least professional interview I have ever been apart of. GET IT TOGETHER DARDEN!!

Im sorry that you've had a bad experience with a rep. You should put in an anonymous complaint, explaining in detail what had happened, for the sake of other applicants (and revenge! ).

I considered reporting it but I didn't want to hurt my candidacy or future candidacy. Being dinged would be a lot better to swallow had the interview gone well. I felt like I had a competitive application and I feel like I got the short end of the stick on this one.

hey buddy, sorry about the ding. I honestly think you should report thing. This isn't fair, nor is it a professional image that Darden should be sending out to any applicant. Every applicant who was interviewed deserved to be treated with the same respect, courtesy, and professionalism as anyone else.

I am also very sorry to hear about your experience. Best to you in the future and you should really consider reporting it.

I honestly don't see how tell them about my horrid interview would do good and probably more harm. If I complain, its my word vs the admin reps and I don't see a situation where the school would side with me over him. Even if I complained and they listened to me, I don't see them changing me from a 'ding' to an 'IN'. The whole situation just stinks.

In my humble opinion, it can get you a second interview. Ofcourse as an admitted student, I'm being selfish here as I don't want to miss out on a great classmate. You do have a legitimate case here and I'm sure you won't be the first person to complain about an adcom member. Worst case scenario, the ding will remain a ding where your e-mail is trashed and ID marked spam.

I had a similar experience at Kellogg but it was a stretch school for me, so I let it go. If you really felt you were in with a chance, for all practical purposes, you should e-mail them. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck with everything else!

I totally second that. There maybe others who had a less-than-satisfactory interview experience with this particular interviewer. I think your feedback will have some positive impact. And anyway, you have nothing to lose wrt the Darden app, so give it a thought.

It took about a week to reach me. Folks on the forum report receiving it earlier than that, which is ironic because I live right down the road from Darden :)

Darden Days is on April 15th & 16th. The registration form and the itinerary are on the DARDENportal. I think there is also a Cold Call on the evening of April 14th (Thursday) but I don't think I'm going to make it since I'm flying in from the west coast.
