Out of curiosity, does the admit packet actually say 'no scholarship'? Or is it simply not mentioned. The reason I ask is that one person earlier commented that the fin aid letter might come separate this round because the fin aid office was so backed up.
mine stated no merit scholarship.
Darden is notorious for giving out majority of scholarships to R1 applicants.
mine stated the same "blah blah NO MONEY"... I have also heard about the R1 majority scholarship trend and I believe it is quite silly. I would assume that best is to also have enough $$ for R2 folks. Otherwise, they could end up missing some really good candidates.
As I get extremely nervous on the $$ issue, the unlucky ones that did not receive a scholarship, could you guys share how you plan on financing yourself? Private loans from the US, home country? at what rates? Federal loans? which ones? savings?
