I didn't (boo!), but a letter inside the packet says that if you're getting a scholarship, it will be in this packet. Good luck to everyone else with getting scholarships!

I am in California and got my packet in the mail Wednesday afternoon. No scholarship for me. Congrats to those who got one.

Guys,

I am new to GmatClub.

Have applied to LBS, Chicago Fuqua and CBS in R1. Already interviewed with LBS and Chicago.

I have applied to Fuqua R1 and still waiting on a decision. Any dings or Interview calls for R1 applicants?

Hi Everyone,

I applied to Fuqua EA and was put on the Waitlist. I know that my chances to get in off the waitlist improve if I keep in constant dialogue with admissions (sending updates once a month or so), but I'm not really sure what I can do to differentiate myself at this point. I can write one update about additional visits/info sessions I've been to and another about a fundraiser I was actively involved with, but other than that I don't know what I can possibly do over the next few months to help my chances. Joining any new extracurricular organizations at this point seems desperate. The only other thing I can think of is to re-take the GMAT. The score I'm using is from 2005 and it was a 710 - so I can try to improve on that with something newer...but I'd probably want to take it before Round 1 decisions are released...which is kind of a time crunch. Any suggestions??? Thanks.

Solid gold bars. It's unbelievable that with the price of gold that they'd include those in our packets! My only complaint is that it made my packet very heavy.

Hi Heel
I know its very frustrating to be wait-listed. I don't know what you can do to get off the waitlist but I think rather than wasting time retaking the GMAT, why not put the same energy toward applying to some other school. If you are wait listed at duke probably you will get in at other comparable schools. I would suggest focus on applying to 3-4 school in R2. But again this is what I would suggest. Hope other people here would give you better advice.

Thanks Ari.

I've applied to all of the schools I am interested in attending. Duke is my first choice - which is why I am inclined to do what I can to get off the waitlist and get in (I am fairly confident I will get into one of my other choices, but I'd prefer to go to Duke).

Got my packet tonight, sadly no scholarship info - just the flash drive, letter, requisite gold bars, and the "sign your life away" card.

Oh - they did include a window decal too, 3" by 3" blue square logo for the school. Suppose its not a full ride, but it'll still be on my car in the morning :-D

Hi,

I applied to Duke about 2 days before the R1 deadline i.e ard 10th Nov. Any idea when can I start expecting any information about their decision...Approximately how long does it take for them to send out interview calls?
