Also invited.... Had my doubts when I first received the email, it sounded suspiciously like the close out emails I've had sent to job applicants.

I indicated Durham for the interview on my app, but it's hard to imagine getting there so soon and so close to the holidays. Strange procedure.

I applied to HBS, Wharton and Kellogg, besides Duke, in R1.
After the cold shoulder from H, W and D, and no response from K other than the usual interview waiver for Indian applicants, I am seriously doubting whether I should go ahead and spend more money on my R2 apps - Booth, Columbia and Ross. Maybe I should seriously consider the possibilty I am not good enough (though I can't understand why). I have simultaneous dual careers as a Risk Analyst and journalist, good acads, excellect ECs and social work, into martial arts and will get published next year.
Maybe I should reapply next year after I have my book on the stands and improve my profile in other aspects....The problem is, I am already 28 years old....

P.S. Till now, I have only got an interview from Simon.

I am exempt from TOEFL, having studied engineering at an institute where the only medium of instruction is English.
That leaves only one culprit - the essays.
Since I think I am not a bad writer (journalism, freelance writing, fiction writing and all that), I think the tone of the essays is suspect. Maybe I should think of hiring a consultant. :?

Hi Souryab,
There can be no other full-proof way but to ask the adcom about what you lack in your profile. I too find you profile impressive. But there can be many reasons justifiable / unjustifiable to us for which adcom didn't care to invite you for interview.

I cannot suggest whether you should right away send email to adcom asking for feedback, but I do feel that is the only way to get the proper answer.

- thanks

That is definitely an option.
Problem is, how many of these schools actually provide feedback (I don't think many):
1. Harvard
2. Wharton
3. Duke
4. Kellogg (haven't heard from them yet)

Also, what's the decent time to ask for feedback? Any ideas?

All the best for those who have been INVITED!
However, I am NOT INVITED and just curious to know how many international applicants have been INVITED?

my profile: 750, engineer, high-tech (non-IT), Indian, entreprenuership, excellent community and international experience. I hope its to do with my essays, which I know weren't really good!! Cant change my profile anyway ;)

I just got the email to go sign up for interviews, but I get a blank screen that has nothing. Is the site down, or is there something wrong with my settings?

Not me... I decided on 10-11.

I didn't see any class visits available on Friday - which is a bit disappointing. I'll swing by the office when I get in and hope for the best though...
