Just scheduled the interview, Feb 14... hm, Valentine's day. Now thinking about it, taking the last spot on valentine's day might have been a bonehead move

So those of you who are saying you are dinged, did you actually receive an email or something stating that you were dinged? Or are you just assuming you're dinged based on the fact you didn't get invited or that your status says "not invited"?

Did anyone who did the open interviews get dinged?

Signed up for a hub interview in London on the 13th an hour ago. But my manager's just sent me an email saying I might need to be in the US around that time, in which case I might do the on-campus interview. I dunno whether to go 'grrrrrr...' or 'yesss!'.

Did your interview invitations say that appropriate attire is business casual? Wouldn't you always wear a suit in these situations?

it says: "Appropriate attire for interviews is business casual."

I assumed I'd wear a suit...

Keatsol, I did the open interview and even though Duke says 'business casual', everyone, with one exception, was in business attire. One dude showed up in khakis, loafers w/ no socks, opened dress shirt, and a blazer. Though he was looking "fly", he was certainly the elephant in the room. I would play it safe and plan on business attire and then shed the tie and/or jacket if you feel overdressed. But i wouldn't be surprised if everyone is decked out in full suits.

I wore business casual and was admitted in R1 but the vast majority were wearing suits.

I was "looking fly" in business casual and was admitted as well. Maybe it was because I wore socks though.

I wore a suit and I got in round 1...But I never wear suits. In fact, I didn't even own one before MBA interviews. Since I went out and bought one, I wasn't going to let it go to waste and go business casual. I don't think it really matters for Fuqua. I felt like the atmosphere was really laid back and the interview was more of a conversation. I think that I would have gotten in business casual as well.

Yay! My First 1!
Guys, I got a follow-up mail from Duke introducing me to an Alumni Admissions Ambassador who was also marked on the mail. Am I now supposed to connect with him or will he get in touch with me himself giving me a choice of dates?
And also, what is the latest we can fix our interview dates for? Is it location specific?
