Will all invites/dings be issued at once or different applicants will receive their answers at different times?

The email will come out at once for all applicants. I would not expect anything before 3:30.

For all those R1 applicants still holding out on scholarships, don't lose hope.

I received a call from admissions letting me know I would receive a 15% scholarship yesterday. The calls are still going out.

Congratulations, that's great news! Does anyone know the % of admitted students that receive scholarship money?

I am thinking about applying Duke in R3.
Does GMAT 690 good enough to get an interview in R3 or potential scholarship? Does they offer scholarship in R3 round?

I am thinking of getting an Investment Banking experience in the Full time program, does Duke has a good chance to get an IB internship?

Thanks

As someone you applied in R3 last year, I would say unless you are desperate to go now, wait a year. A 690 can get you an interview, but the number of slots left for R3 are minimal. I think people were indicating 10 people were admitted that applied R3. Also I believe there are no scholarships left for R3 applicants. Good luck with whatever you decide.

In a Darden chat an adcom said that one year they admitted 40 or so in the last round and 2 the year after...If anything, some schools may look favourably on a re-applicant and provide feedback on your application.

Cheers.

I applied in R3 with a 690 GMAT last year. I was interviewed, waitlisted and then kept on the short list through the first couple of days of Orientation Week. I have been told that very few people were admitted in R3 last year, and those were the applicants with incredible credentials - 730+ GMAT, 3.5+ GPA and blue chip work experience. A 690 GMAT can definitely still get you an interview invite in R3, but it would be very tough to get accepted.

I agree! This has to be the most nerve-wracking experience ever. I keep trying to distract myself by going to meetings and secretly hoping that the email will be in my inbox when I return, but no such luck so far...

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Don't think you need to refresh the AY page. Refreshing your email page should be enough coz as per my understanding everyone gets an email to check the AY site. Right?

I was at a prospective students weekend in the fall and the % of students receiving scholarship in the past year was between 30-40%. I think that was part of the reason that Fuqua places in the top 5 in terms of student debt load at graduation.

I'll bet decisions come out the last 30 minutes before 5PM, just like how my applications were submitted the final five minutes before the deadline.

FYI, I spoke with a Duke rep over the weekend and she said that all files were read by at least 2 ppl, and after they make their recommendations either a third person would read the file if there is disagreement, or the file would be sent to one of two committees to make a decision on the application. The committees were going to start making decisions this week (mon, tues, and even wednesday?) Anyway, point is, those committee meetings must be hell. You have very little time to go through all the apps one last time to decide on an interview or ding. Either there's a larger than expected applicant pool, or the committee is really slugging it out for different applicants, OR the adcomms are just sitting smug holding onto the decisions until the end of the day.

Good luck to all!
