Calling all Duke-Fuqua Applicants(2015 Intake) Class of 2017

Under the essat section, it says it should be 1.5 line spacing and a font no smaller than 10.
I felt the 10 is too small so I used 11.5 and tightened the margins (for both essays). Who cares about the margin as long as the font size is readable?

Had my interview a few hours back at the local Starbucks and it was a nice experience.
It was pretty casual and went on for about 50-60 minutes. The interviewer shared with me her experiences at Fuqua - life in Durham, the basketball Campout, the Consulting Practicum and advantages of having a Wednesday off.

The questions I was asked were:

1. Tell me about yourself/walk me through your resume
2. What is your current role at work?
3. Why MBA?
4. Why Fuqua?
5. What do you think makes teams successful?
6. Best team you've worked in and why?
7. Best manager you've worked with and why?
8. Conflict resolution 1
9. Conflict resolution 2
10. What are the community activities you've played a part in? When did you start engaging in these?
11. Tell me about a situation when you had to deal with a team member who was not pulling their weight.
12. Other schools you've applied to?
13. What's your long term career goal?
14. What was your last appraisal like? What were the good and the bad things that were highlighted?
15. Tell me about the most constructive feedback you've got so far and what you did to improve.
16. What are you passionate about?
17. Tell me about a time when you failed.
18. Is there anything that you would like to add to your application at this point?

Wow, after typing out that list, it seems like a lot of questions for an hour. Maybe I spoke too fast?
The 29th can't come any sooner. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Submission and Interview completed for Round 1.!! I like the fact that Duke offers a reduction in fee to those who visit campus to know the school better. Good luck to all round 1 applicants !

Fosterizer: I wouldn't worry much my friend. People mess up stuff all the time. It could be a typo,missing word or a grammatical glitch.The adcoms expect you to be congnizant of what you submit but they certainly don't expect you to spend dollars on having someone proof read your app. You could write an email to admissions or not. Whatever route you take wont break the deal for you. So don't sweat on it too much . They may not even notice the miss !!

Decisions would be out on Oct 29. I believe, everyone will get notified at one go.

Same situation for me. I received an email earlier this morning saying they have created a user account for me to track status of my application. And in that account my application status says 'Application Received'. I believe they will take their own time to review whether they have all the materials to change the status to Application Complete.

I think Duke adcoms notify admitted students thorugh phone calls.

In the GMAT scores section, there was a provision to enter scanned GMAT score copy and I uploaded mine. But later I realized that the scanned copy contains list of all the schools I sent my score to. I don't intend to apply to all those schools. I am worried that this will jeopardize my application. Does anybody have any insight into how the adcom would view this?

I know it's going to be nerve racking the next couple of days. The best strategy is to not think about it until Wednesday. We haven't called people early since 2010.

For the EA round as well the website mentioned that interview invitations sent out by 7th Oct. but the interview invites were sent on 7th only.

For us R1 guys that are just enjoying the show, if you get accepted, could you write a small blurb on your profile so we can see who is getting in?
