Gaaa, just got some disturbing news from Duke today. Got an email from adcom saying my application is complete and that they have all the info necessary for me to be considered a EA applicant. One thing though: I haven't yet had my interview and won't until the last day of the interview deadline on Nov 1st. Hopefully, they are not thinking that I am not planning on having an interview.

Out of curiosity did anyone get a similiar email saying their status is complete WITHOUT having yet conducted the interview?

I also just got that email saying the app status is COMPLETE and we'll know our results on nov 14.... Of course they know that we are internationals and also that we have requested an interview (we had a field in the app, remember?). So, I'd not think it to be a disturbing news.......

I did the drive from CT to MI to visit Ross. 14 hours total. To be honest, it wasn't anywhere as bad as I thought it would be.

Should be even easier with a passenger! :-D

I am too driving from NY to MI for Ross intw. But it's a 10 hr. And that I am doing alone. I will miss my wife in that one. :)

I went to a Fuqua info session last night. It was pretty informative. There was an assistant dean of admissions as the main speaker, and an alum from the area who had just graduated in May. They were both really friendly and enthusiastic.

Some highlights were:
-Duke doesn't like the trending young phenomenon going on at other top business schools. They value experience.
-They were big on emphasizing the "leader of consequence" mantra.
-Application volume is up (she wouldn't go into exact numbers).

Hmmm, I'm an international applicant too and mine still says submitted. Sent it in a good 4 days before the deadline too. Did your email say that you'll find out with who/when you're doing your alumni interview on Nov 14, or just whether you'd find out *if* you were being offered an interview?

So how easy is it to get a cab in Durham itself? I'm thinking about going for this event with prospective current students (a Super Saturday event) that's after my interview. It would involve taking a cab from the admissions office to the restaurant/bar and then to the airport.
Too complicated?

nope, its simple. Just keep the number of the cab that drives u there. or else, the admissions reception folks are also helpful. I used a cab for my interview!

I have my interview this Saturday as well ac and I'm also thinking of going to the Super Saturday Event. My interview is at 10AM. I'm driving to Duke so if you want to go to the Super Saturday Event I can give u a ride.

If you see an male Asian-American at the event, 5'11 and wearing glasses that's most likely me.
