I had my interview yesterday,10th Nov with a 2nd yr student.
My check-in is at 11:30 AM and I did have trouble finding the address with the GPS.So called the school and they told to look for 'Washington Duke hotel' on the GPS.The school is in the road across that hotel.
There were about 10 people for interviews. Also a first yr was in the lobby to speak with the interviewees and clarify any doubts.
I would say my interview went well. Here is a recap.Went for 40 mins.
Before the interview,I asked her whether she is familiar with my background.
Few icebreakers.
Walkthru your resume.
Why MBA?
LT/ST goals.
Why Duke?
What qualities do u look for when you want to build a team with 4-6 people?
Would you strive for diversity in that team? If so,how?
How would you contribute to Fuqua?
Any -ve feedback from your managers? How did you react? Did you rectify that?
How do you deal with a troublesome team member?
Anything else you wanted to say?
Any questions for me?
I had 'No' to the last 2 questions. But again after the interview,I wanted to say something and my interviewer was very nice that she again opened her notes and took down what I was saying.
Gave her business card.
After the interview, spoke for a while about the courses and whether I can get any exemption.
I did not sign for the campus tour,so did not get a coupon for a free lunch at Fox center.

After the interview, went to the first yr student at the receptionist desk and asked where I can go to eat.She told about the Fox center and gave me that free coupon.
There at the lunch,I met a HSM student and talked for 20 mins.He told about a new club he is going to start, boot camp, other clubs.
I signed up a core Finance class since the Strategy class is full.A first yr took all the people signed up for the class.
It seems laptops are not allowed for the core classes.Depends on the professor also. The class appeared to be pretty diversified. The prof talked about P/E ratios, indexes, analyst rankings,P/E to growth ratios.I did not learn anything new from that class since I actively trade stocks and so familiar with those concepts. Also I saw that most people in that class are not aware of those and I asked the same to the 1st yr student. She said most of the people in that class come from a non-Finance background, and by taking an exam, the course can be waived and many people get it waived. She gave her business card.
