I recently went up to Dartmouth for an interview and did not connect with my interviewer very well. My interviewer seemed a bit sour to be honest. Tough break considering the personal expense and weight the Tuck interview carries.
Sorry to hear this happened to someone else too - not just me. I certainly could have prepared further but frankly my interviewer seemed entirely apathetic about the entire process. I couldn't tell if it was a calculated stoicism, I was terribly boring, or she just didn't want to be there... Anyways, not a great experience, which was a shame considering the rest of the day there was pretty positive.

Interesting. It was strange but I had the same thoughts about whether or not it was calculated. I know it was late in the interview process but that's the only date I could make and it seemed like the process had worn my interviewer out. I didn't get even get the "Why Tuck?" question. The interview was more focused on negative situations in my life and how I dealt with them. There are only so many times you can spin that stuff.

I applied in EA and my interviewer also showed a total lack of enthusiasm. After traveling all the way to Hanover and spending money the whole campus visit was very very disappointing. I visited a class and most students in the class seemed totally out of it.

I had the same interviewer you did, but I did not have the same experience as you. I thought we connected well (similar backgrounds). I heard from other students later in the day that she's a very nice girl so I wouldn't assume you got a bad interview write-up even if the interview didn't seem the best. I guess we'll find out later this week...
Sure. 740 GMAT, but 760 at Tuck because they take a composite of top section scores. 3.44 GPA from top-20 UG (liberal arts degree). Female with five years of work experience: three in financial services and two in nonprofit. I do a lot of volunteer work (and have leadership experience through it) and participate in other extracurricular activities (book club, skee-ball league, etc.).
How do you figure a "composite" GMAT score?
Just curious, thanks.

I had my interview but it was different.. the lady was very enthusiastic and actually tried to sell Tuck by saying great things about it.. I have heard that some times interviewers act indifferent because they want to see how you react to such situations.. Does it kill your enthusiasm as well or are u able to do your part irrespective of the constraints... Good Luck!!! Keep your spirits high no matter what!
