i'm still waiting too...for anything. i don't even care about the fellowship anymore, just admit me... :(


Trust me, as easy as it may sound, if you got in with no fellowship you would be stressing over the fellowship. I am doing so as we speak right now?

I applied to three schools got admitted into two and waitlisted at one and still wishing i can get a fellowship but my hope is slowly diminishing.

We just have to negotiate... i am not sure how that will fly.... especially to our number one schools.... I am telling you, i dont care what anybody says... the rankings do matter.

I got an email from Jon Fuller at Ross....I am in! Good luck to all you guys. Four days ago, I thought that I would be denied at all the schools I applied. Now, I am in at Tuck and Ross. Don't give up guys, we are nearing the midp-point of the decision announcement process.

Congrats to all the Ross and Darden admits and fellowships!

Primenumber, congrats on Indiana!

I am so excited for everyone and looking forward to seeing y'all at OP!!!

For everyone else waiting, I can imagine this is dreadful, but if you go to last year's thread you'll see that all hope is not lost and a lot of these schools saved the best for last ;) Hang in there!!!!

Can someone be admitted to the Consortium without having received a fellowship? If so when would we find out? If not...the sucks.

The consortium letters go out on the 16 th....so I guess all the info will be in there. And yeah there were a lot of instances of consortium membership without the fellowship.

@money, to add to what prime said, yes, you can get consortium membership without the fellowship. Remember, there are three separate decisions: admission to the school, then admission to the Consortium, then fellowship decision. So you can definitely get through the first two without necessarily proceeding to the third step (fellowship). Last year, I think 450 people gained membership status, and about 300 were awarded fellowships.

Also, lets say you are awarded Consortium membership and a fellowship to a particular school. If you chose to attend a different Consortium member school, you can still be a part of the Consortium. So to be a member, you don't have to attend the school that gave you the fellowship, as long as you attend a member school and are granted membership.

If you look up the annual report (which someone did on this forum at some point.) 70% of students that were accepted by a school get a fellowship, 98% get membership into the consortium.

Ok so I woke up this morning and thought that some of the excitement from yesterday's FS news from Darden would wear off or at least flag today...
NOT THE CASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a rollercoaster with constant G-force! I wish I could have it explode out of me and onto this page for your enjoyment.
Everyone still waiting, keep hope alive. This is my second shot at this process. Do what you want, don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise, don't get down about a temporary setback.

Just tuition and fees. So you have to cover your own living expenses, your cases/books, and travel you do.
