You were accepted into HBS??? Why do you care about Tuck? Mean that in a nice way btw, good work on HBS

I'd go to Tuck any day over HBS. HBS is a diploma mill. HBS also skews young too, which I tried to avoid in applying to programs. Both are excellent schools, but they offer totally different experiences. It really comes down to preference.

I know what you mean, but I just wouldn't be as disappointed if I was accepted into such a world renown program.... I haven't been admitted anywhere. This is my first "answer" so far, but it would be nice to have SOMETHING in the bag to ease the stress a little

Waitlisted last year in Rd 2...waited through summer and got dinged. This year, I put in as much time on Tuck as I did on the rest of my applications combined...DINGED!!

same, mbahopeful2012. i am verydiscouraged. i will most likely apply to a couple other schools, but tuck was my #1. i'm a few deep after seeing the ding.

Received my admit call early AM (I am on the West Coast) and saw the "formal" electronic offer letter at 2PM Pacific. No word on any merit scholarships just yet, so I'm assuming I haven't been awarded any. I'm so excited!

Profile: M/24yrs old/4.0 GPA at Top 20 non-Ivy US Undergrad/GMAT 750/4yr WE in Technical Consulting at top 3 technology firm with mostly F100 clients in US, Europe & Asia/Significant nonprofit leadership & board development experiences.

Good luck with other results to those who didn't make it and sympathies to those on the waitlist. I too have been waitlisted elsewhere so I feel your pain, but Tuck is my first choice, so I couldn't be happier!

I am really keen on the Tuck program and am considering applying during the Jan round.

However I am a little concerned...because Dartmouth has an Early Action round...is the Jan round equivalent to a Round 3, i.e. most of the seats have already been filled and this round will be highly competitive. Or is the Jan round similar to Rd2 for most schools, where the chances are similar to that in Rd1?

Dang. Add me to the waitlist. Tuck is a tough program to get into. Just popped over here from the Wharton forum...looks like less than five folks were accepted from GC, meanwhile more than 30 folks were waitlisted. Seems like a large amount of people here were placed on the waitlist as well. Let's hope it's just yield management (especially since we're talking about Tuck here whose yield is <60%). Congrats to everyone who got in. Good luck to those who were waitlisted and denied.
