I don't think Tuck will ABSOLUTELY not admit those who can't make it on campus. Having said that, Tuck does pride itself on the close-knit community (same as Darden) and does make an effort to show that everywhere. I think, at the end, the choice is yours and only you can decide on that. The number of admits from those who don't visit the campus is not public information. So, unless the consultant has some insider information, he/she is simply speculating. I'm not doubting this specific consultant's ability to consult, but I'm also having a hard time to believe that 100% of the admits and matriculating students are those who visited campus. I'm sure someone with a stellar GPA, GMAT, and WE will be able to get in.

I know several people who were invited to interview when they did not set foot on campus at all before applying.

need help guys! I had a discussion with an admission consultant about tuck and she told me that there is no point applying to tuck if I can not go for an oncampus interview. she told me that its because of the closely knitted community an oncampus interview is required... can someone pls help me out with this so that I can decide whether to apply.

this is not correct info....when researching Tuck, i spoke with a number of current students, some of whom were international and were admitted without ever coming to campus...

Well don't think that true but a lot will depend on what reasoning you will give to Tuck for not coming to campus.

I say go visit if your schedule allows. If financial is the reason why you don't want to go, just think again. You will spend over $100k plus more in your 2 years. The visit will help to confirm if you will be a good fit for the school. Think of this as an investment. You don't want to be miserable in an environment you hate for 2 years.

Does anyone know what the timeline is for Tuck? I've submitted my application on October 2nd and my final rec came in on the 13th of October. My "Submission Status" says Submitted. Is that normal and right? I'm just judging it by how other schools have changed to "Completed" after everything's done.

Does the application status have anything? Should be under submitted status.

are you sure you're not referring to "application status"?

For example, I submitted mine 10/13.

Submissions status: Submitted 10/13.
Application Status: Completed 10/19.

not sure why application status is dated later - but adcom did say it takes a while to get all the apps printed out and that process can take several days so maybe thats why

I have a question on awards, My club won an award for enrolling highest number of new members in a space of 6 months. All this happened while i was the Vice President for membership. Should i be quoting this in the award section because its not really a individual recognition but a award given to the club.

any thoughts guys.......

Hi fellow ER applicants,

Just received invitation for interview. I did not visit the campus, because I live outside the US.

Great feeling that things are happening, finally! Hope many of us (if not all of us ;)) receives the invitation!
