Did the adcom mention that this year the EA number was high? Where is this information coming from?

I was wondering the same thing too. Everyone seems to be very sure about the EA round # is high?

"Hi Eduardo:

I think you may need to wait a bit longer. The applications were up significantly for Early Action, so it has taken more time to get through the applications this round.

number of reapplicants is at an all time high too for this year. A lot of qualified candidates were waitlisted from last year. advice given to them was to reapply this year and apply in EA. Now this seems like its going to be a pain.

i think it is fine. they shoudl be able to do whatever they want, though it may not bode well for us. realistically they dont really need to be concerned about our chances compared to others years, and only with inducting the best class possible. :(

and while attempting to induct the best class possible, they also take into consideration the profiles of deferrals.. so, if your profile is similar to some last year's admit who deferred, chances are you won't receive an admit. how's that for fair?

I suspect this is true and it seems reasonable to me. That is why I really played up my unique work experience as a goat herder. During my six years as a goat herder, I was able to grow the size of our herd by 33% and expand our product line to include an assortment of premium goat cheese products sold in Wholefoods and health stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. Working with other, similarly sized goat herders, I founded and served as the president of N.A.G.S.A.C. (The North American Goat and Sheep Association & Co-op), an industry group that sets standards for goat and sheep products, promotes fair trade practices and negotiates higher prices for our members' goods. Prior to taking over my herd, I spent three years as an analyst for Goldman Sachs in New York. I hold a B.S. in Finance from Wharton and in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T., earning a 4.0 gpa at both institutions. I scored a 790 on the GMAT, but I'm thinking of retaking the test because I know I can do better.

There isn't much sense fretting over what you can't control at this point. For those of you who applied EA, your wait should soon be over. Best of luck to each of you. For my fellow Nov. rounders, enjoy your holidays and the coming weeks. For each and every one of us, the dream continues...

For those of you considering applying in January, don't be deterred. Tuck will admit some applicants in the final rounds. Why not you?

I just heard from Yale SOM (similar class size). That's two days before SOM's decision deadline. Using that as a rule of thumb, we should start hearing tomorrow. Good luck everyone!!

Include Highest number of Admits in EA round... We are looking potentially at 40% of admits in EA round. Despite 30 or so deferrals, the numbers still look hopeful...

last time i apped, interviewed and got dinged in R1... the calls started going around starting Thursday. so, IMhO, we have another 24 hours before calls start going out...

any idea what's happening in BW forums? i couldn't find that link for Tuck on the web...
