there has been 6 posts on the chinese forums about admits to Tuck, all receiving calls approximately 90 minutes before this post ... looks like I have to start doing R2 apps =(

When the adcom called me, I asked if they are working late today. She mentioned this (i.e. around 8pm EST) is the best time to call Asian candidates so they need not disturb us in the middle of the night. I told her i will be happy to receive a call from Tuck anytime even if it is in the middle of the night. She laughed and said she will remember what I said for the next intake.

I am still waiting for that call.. Judging by the time of calls I do not think any Indians have been called yet..

I dont think they will simply pick up and call., they would like to make sure that the local time is not too appropriate..
I think anything between 11PM to 6/7 AM would not be the best time to call.. just an opinion...

Well, it is based on time zone :-) lemme rephrase my fellow applicant's statement, "looking at the call timings, Guess the calls have not gone to anyone based in India -at this time"..

well if it makes you feel any better, it's 10:30 in hanover right now so it's a bit too late to call india applicants for them -> I think you'll get a call this evening!

Hang in there ppl. I guess the adcom must be going to bed soon. Let them have a good rest so they can wake up and call speedily to all the rest. They might start with East Asia tmr.

have admitted applicants been divided into nationalities, and then calls are being made based on respectively suitable time zones? where do cross-overs figure?

I guess they are done East Asia, if you've got a call. Can you reveal who from the admissions team called you?

Did anybody from the Middle East / Africa hear yet. Are there any MEA applicants on this forum?

and based on GC comments it seems tht the time range for all the calls that have been made was - 12 (midnight) to 7:30 AM - Indian time.. which according to me is not at all the appropriate time to call in India..

I think its based on where one lives, as opposed to the nationality. The first lady to confirm her acceptance on this board is an Asian living in the US.

i think this is the state of nirvana one achieves after getting rejected in 8 schools in 2009... Tuck is the only school i've applied to for this year - re-applicant...

if this fails, i'm going back to the drawing board... however, it is too early to comment about failure, as i speak...

I plan to apply to two schools, the second application only goes out if it really needs to after the Tuck decision.
