Hey. I dont want to throw a bucket of cool water, but dont you guys think that the fact that there are already 13 or 14 Brazilians in Tuck (most of them are 1st year students) will make it harder for us (Brazilians) to get in this year?

Don't you realize they're different classes? They are T'11 and we are T'13.
And in the info session, with the Dean, he stated that HE wants the number of Brazilians in a higher level!

Ok people, it will soon be 8am EST and the remaining calls will probably start soon ..

I cant take the tension anymore so have decided to take my son (and my phone) out for a walk ..

Best of luck to all of us ..

@madmax - I dont think the number of people from Brazil in the previous year will have much of an impact on this year's intake. Us Indians fill up virtually every top business school in the world to the upper limit of one nationality year after year !!! The constitution of last year's intake is not even a consideration ..

Here's why I am very pessimistic about too many more calls today. Very optimistic assumption - 80 admitted in EA round. 10min chat with each. Total phone time 13hrs 20mins. Very low assumption - only 5 Adcom members calling (I personally met 4 different members in one info session and two campus visits). That means each have to be on phone for 2hrs 40mins. Add coffee breaks and other interruptions to that = 4hrs each. Calls started yesterday 2pm and went on till late evening.

There could be a handful of calls today but can't be more than high single digits. Well it's Fri - I will go out after work and drown my sorrow with alcohol.

So as per you they have already sent out 70 calls.. I find it strange that only 10 of them have joined FB group.. moreover, basing judgement of GC, calls started late till early morning as per Indian time.. So, I do not see any reason why thr are less than 40 odd calls left for the day... obviously my judgement is based on forums..

There's also an admitted FB page for SOM admits, which I joined on Wed night. Still pending approval from the group admin. These groups are created so admits can get to know each other and organize socials, as well as for schools to broadcast any updates/events. There's no reason why everyone admitted would start joining these groups right away or, even if they do, that their requests to join would be approved within a few hours.

I agree, Latam calls will prob start today. US/Europe/Asia calls are probably over. Well, we all will know soon anyways...

I even got the dings so that I do not even have to think twice before getting into Tuck :)
I am not sure about europe.. but based on gc no one in india has rcvd any call..
