Thanks. I figured as much, just wanted to be sure. How was the visit/interview experience?? Friendly??
The visit and interview were very friendly. The administrative staff is very gracious, and I met with a first year student for my interview (though most are second years). The interview was very comfortable, and consisted of the same basic questions as other schools (a time you coordinated a group, my resume, why ND, etc.).
At the end, though, they give you a case question. My interviewer stressed that the final answer wasn't important, because it's usually impossible to get it right. What they're looking for is how you reason through the question to provide a best guess. My question was "How many hot dogs are sold by street vendors in Brooklyn in a week?" I attempted to guess the number of blocks, number of vendors per block, sales per week, and fumbled my way through the math. I'm sure my face was red by the end, but the interviewer seemed pleased and I got an admit.
Good Luck!
