I submitted my application for Round 2 on 01/06/2011. My application was complete on 01/11/2011. I did not get anything from Yale yet. I noticed many of the folks got interview invite on 02/04. This means I am rejected already right?

Nah, it's too early for you worry. YSOM sends invitations throughout the round, and the notification date for R2 isn't until March 25th. They seem to send out the invites in batches, so the first batch probably went out Feb. 4th, but they may not have even finished reviewing your app yet.

No, you are not rejected until you are rejected. There is plenty of time left in this round.

Does anyone know when SOM begins to send out final admissions decisions for those who have already interviewed?? They say on a rolling basis, but does anyone have any more precise info?
Hello, this question is directed towards current Yale students. I see that the interview slots run up until Feb 17. Then there is a break and they resume one March 21-23. I am out of town for work and I would only be able to interview on March 21. Given that the Decision deadline is on the 25, is there a difference in interviewing earlier rather than later?

I submitted R2 as well and frankly am SHOCKED I still haven't heard anything from Yale. By all measures, I was pretty confident about admission to the school and also had what (IMO) was an excellent application (especially in comparison to my last-minute thrown together Sloan application). A friend of mine who is there this year and has some insights to the adcom ppl said not to worry and that they send out invites pretty much as they go. Still though... reading what someone said earlier that they have interview slots up til Feb 17th and then again March 21-onward is a little discomforting.
I mean, has anyone been dinged yet for R2?? Or are we just to waiting for a big batch of dings somewhere down the line?
Congratulations for the Sloan admit! You must be having a great profile. You are already into MIT so I guess you won't need Yale! I haven't got anything/anywhere man, just hoping at least an interview from Yale

Thanks! But it ain't that easy! hehe. I haven't visited Sloan yet (will be going admit weekend later in the month) but I did visit Yale and LOVED IT! Actually, all three schools I'm applying to I really like for very different reasons. For SOM, I'm pretty sure I'd jive most with the people there and just have a truly excellent bschool experience; plus the classes I sat in on were really excellent (far better than the CBS ones, for instance). For Sloan.. well, I guess I'll wait to make a judgment, but will be pretty disappointed if Yale is a NO!
Really good, well done my friend, going to MIT will be dream come true for me, I will apply to MIT in my next birth-cycle, for this life of mine, I will be happy with a Yale interview. If you can get an admit from Sloan, I don't see any reason for you to not get a call from Yale, you will make it brother.
