I applied 1/5 to Yale and am wondering if I should look lower. I'm a non-traditional applicant: AB in Political Theory from #20 liberal arts college (GPA: 3.6), law degree from #20 law school (with a low GPA: 2.9). Have only one semester of ugrad quant work: Calc I (A). 730 on the GMAT.
Want to lead a nonprofit (currently working in the nonprofit/gov't world).
Is it likely that my Law School GPA is going to sink me at top schools? Given the low grad school gpa, which is obviously more recent than my college grades, should I forget about schools in the top 10? I've noticed that invites have gone out for R2 interviews and I haven't heard anything which contributes to my wondering if I should shoot some R3 apps out.

Has the invitation of interview for R2 been fully sent out? I am in China. I didn't hear any information about the interview invitation locally.

anyone here who can provide a sense of exactly where we are in the process? How many interview invites have gone out (%)? How many left (%)? Timeline? I dont think there is a mid-decision date, is there? I don't particularly like checking status everyday!!!

Not too many people at least here who have an invite.... so far...! wondering whats happening!

I think thr are many ppl who wondering the same thing.. I really hate this "unknown" factor. There shud be a cut-off single date or 2-3 dates..

I think there are 2-3 mid decision dates because I saw that on an interview and another member also replied regarding that in this forum (pg 62), but not sure when exactly are those dates!

I think there are 2-3 mid decision dates because I saw that on an interview and another member also replied regarding that in this forum (pg 62), but not sure when exactly are those dates!

There aren't fixed common-knowledge dates. The chat transcript says that they will release decisions when they have "a good batch". That would probably be after the first round of interviews are completed and reports are in. I am also guessing the # of R2 admits will be affected by the # of R1 enrollees, so our confirmation date, February 25, will guide the movement for R2 interviewees.

Had a quick question for any of the current SOM students. I signed up for the Winter Welcome on 2/10, however its in the middle of a very busy time for me. Would I be missing much if I pulled out of this event and just attended the Welcome Weekend in April?

If you can't make it to the Winter Welcome, just attend the Bulldog Days in April. Winter Welcome is really a courtesy event for R1 admits, so they don't have to wait until April to find out more about the school. We don't want anyone to feel neglected when other schools hold more than one admitted student weekend.

Hi, My app status on Yale still shows that GMAT report not recd. I got a strange email from yale saying that your application is incomplete, please click on ---- link to check. The link says, "no update". I checked mba.com, the score report has been sent almost a month ago.
Please tell me: 1. what the email means. 2. what the link's status means. 3. What should i do regarding score report? Thanks.
