I wish I did. 7 years W/E at a fortune 50 company. Got some "help" on my essays. Applied for JD/MBA to all my schools, and I got a 176 LSAT. Taken to the woodshed. . .I guess I should have aimed lower, but I really expected the nod from at least one.
Profile: 720 GMAT, 3.3 GPA, 3 years experience in alternative investments, no special classifications
Found GMATClub forums when looking for WL advice. Any tips beyond the FAQ? Does the WL letter actually contain the bucket that you fall into, or should I be attempting to address all three possible WL reasons in my "love letter" to SOM?
I got waitlisted in R1 and I invested my time in accomplishing all the points that they said in the FAQ letter. I send the letter of interest, the goals clarification essay, 3 new recommendations, extra courses and I got in a round later. I would strongly recommend to do that, and keep in touch at least once a month with the waitlist manager who is a very nice person.
Congrats to all the admits and keep fighting to the rest! at the end of the journey is worth it!
My call never came. I'm on the waitlist. I'm going to do my best to get in from the waitlist. If not, I'll be at either Cornell or Carnegie Mellon in the Fall.
Did anyone else interview and end up with a ding? I interviewed early (invited 1/11 interviewed 2/7) and expected that if I didn't get in I would at least get waitlisted. Seems strange that they would be so quick to interview but have so little interest as to flat out reject. I also don't think I had such an aweful interview, in fact I thought it went well.
I guess it is what it is but I just wanted to hear if anyone else was in the same situation.
