Well on one hand they say to allow 4 weeks for all items to be processed, which would be this Thursday. On the other hand, they say that they will contact you if they haven't received any items by that time.

So I don't think it would be unreasonable to call mid next week, but if you can hold off, that's what I would do.

A question about reapplication. I'm a reapplicant in R1 this year (was interviewed and rejected last year). SOM's official policy is that reapplicant who was interviewed last year doesn't have to be re-interviewed this year, and it's completely at the adcom's discretion. But do they typically re-interview reapplicants if they're interested? I just don't know if it's too good to be true that they will accept reapplicants without re-interview. Any insights in this area? Thanks!

I am answering this question with limited knowledge (and as a result, probably can answer 50% of your question)

1) All business schools won't review anyone's application unless they are complete in nature (meaning everything required for the application was received). Generally, they are put into a folder and thrown into the pile for the adcom to review.

2) The checklist that you see online is updated periodically, meaning that even if something says it wasn't received, it doesn't mean that they don't have it. Things don't get updated in real time because no business school can provide that kind of service.

That being said, in my opinion (based on past observation), just because all your check marks turned green, it doesn't mean they will review your application first and then FINISH the review faster (and as a result, send out an invite). Determination of sending out an invite is far more complicated. Some apps will require more discussion, while other apps will require less, etc.

Hi there. I wrote the admissions about that. They will email everyone shortly with that info. I stayed at the New Haven Hotel when I went for my campus visit and was very very pleased - it is farther away from the SOM campus than the Study and Omni but it is cheaper, completely renovated and great atmosphere - it is 5 mins by cab and they have the cab there whenever you request it for. PM me if you have any more specific questions.

Yes, the items for our applications are listed on the application status page. My question was about notifying them about any missing items. In my case, it is a transcript from another school. The item was included with my application during submission, but still shows up missing. Further, we are about 4 weeks out since the R1 deadline. I would like to make sure they have the item.
