Not gonna lie, I looked over the exhibitor map for the conference and was disappointed :-( Let's hope they add some more companies before OP. Obviously the fellowship is amazing, but having access to a wide breadth of recruiting options is the value proposition for me personally.

Hey Fellows - Let me say a BIG congratulations to all of you who got admissions. An even BIGGER congratulations to those with fellowship money/full ride!!!!

For those who didn't get an admit hold on to hope for the future. The fact that you turned in applications irrespective of if you got an interview or not speaks volume of your character and persistence. You are still in an elite class, and here is wishing you better luck next time.

I am thankful to have 1 admit (though no money yet). Still contemplating on what to do from this point on. 1 thing is sure though, I am definitely a better candidate than I was few months ago. Who knows I may be taking my talents to Ithaca Newyork, or maybe joining in the roller coaster ride next year.

Congrats to all who were accepted and/or receiving a fellowship! Such an exciting time. Looking forward to meeting everyone at OP (knock on wood). Anyone accepted to Ross in the Boston area?

I am so amped for the Consortium binder to come in that I almost want to skip work tomorrow to make sure I don't miss it.

How are you all motivating yourselves at work? I'm struggling right now and I still have 3 more months before I resign. But I'm so ready to quit.

I just took my boss and a colleague to lunch at Ruth's Chris. Killed 2 birds with one stone, I showed my appreciation for the all of the rex they've written and buttered them up so they dont fire me for my lack of work going forward. Hopefully it works out. HA

Weekday mornings are when I feel especially unmotivated. However, I try to think of my recommenders - they probably weren't too excited to take time out of their day and write multiple recommendations on my behalf, no matter how much they may like me. I at least owe it to them to keep pushing forward.

In addition, I'd like to think there are skills I could continue to be improving while I'm here. My company helped me develop into the professional I am today, and although I've decided to change directions I'm sure there are still things I could learn from them during my remaining months. I've started archive my materials and have volunteered to help with some one-time internal initiatives to keep me busy. I'm not doing anything out of my comfort zone, but trying to get better at what I already know how to do.

Although I'm writing this at the office and struggle to stay focused, I try to give myself goals each week to keep motivated and make the time go by faster. We'll be sitting in class before you know it!

Strangely, I think I’ve been more motivated over the past week. I finally feel some certainty in my life again now that I know I will be going to b-school and I know where I’ll be attending. Plus, my last day is earlier than most, May 4th, so I’ll be putting in my notice probably at the end of next week. Probably makes it easier since I can truly see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Duke just waitlisted me while Kellogg rejected me. I am feeling very twitchy. It all comes down to Darden and Wharton. God please dont foresake me.

Impossible. I checked out the moment I got the call from Ross. I plan on working out as much as possible to pass the time. Stay just focused enough at work not to lose your job before hand.

Staying motivated for work is very hard for me mostly because work is SO busy right now. I gave notice last week that I'm leaving in May. I gave them a two week window for my exit day, but after the last two days of work, I've decided that I will be exiting as soon as possible, taking the earliest date rather than the later. We've had some kind of craziness go down (hardware failures, etc.), and so the whole team is working the issue, and will be doing so until it's put to bed later this wk. One of my friends gave me a pep talk last night, and that helped me say I won't check out completely right now. So glad I gave notice last week, so that they won't be wondering why I'm not killing myself to take in my remaining projects. But honestly, I have no motivation right now. Love for the company is not getting me to login everyday, but respect and affection for my co-workers. If not for them, I probably would be exiting with the 2 wk minimum rather than trying to be nice and give a 2 month turnover. Like some of you, though, I've decided to do enough to get through this period, but the days of working like crazy toward a deadline are over until fall. It's too busy, for me to check out complete. Sigh...

Not gonna lie, I looked over the exhibitor map for the conference and was disappointed :-( Let's hope they add some more companies before OP. Obviously the fellowship is amazing, but having access to a wide breadth of recruiting options is the value proposition for me personally.

I second that I would imagine more consulting firms and banks... but they have about 3 months to attract more recruiters, so once they see your resume and profile they will come flocking

I think I'm going to hedge my bets and get a jump start on recruiting through my undergrad career services office. I was hoping for more consulting as well and Education Pioneers (maybe I missed them on the map). Oh well... may have to endure the slog of recruiting in the fall.
