Guys. I am an international applicant applying in the November round and I would not get a chance to visit before the November round. I am also using my GRE score(1500/1600) for my app. Is it too much of a disadvantage? Can I request them for an on campus interview after the deadline as I am currently on an international assignment where I am not allowed to take leaves. That is also the reason I could not take my GMAT yet
I would explain the situation in the optional essay. I would also ask the admissions about requesting an interview after the deadline. It also depends on how far after the deadline. I'm sure within 2-3 weeks would be okay but anything after that would probably be a no. I would check with admissions

Tuck2013: I do not think I would be able to attend the interview within 3 weeks of the application deadline. I should address the issue using the optional essay. Although not having visited or attended an admission event, I feel my application would be very weak. Can you tell if they would be able to consider my case and have a ad com initiated interview instead? As Tuck is on top of my wish list, I am beginning to worry if they view my inability to visit as a negative.

Seriously when I started I just did not expect to have to put in so much effort. It was really draining and I have applied only for 2 schools at the same time. Wondering how folks who do 4 or 5 manage to make it.
yeah, i planned to apply to 5 schools in R1, narrowed it down to 2 in R1 and 1 in R2... now that I have Tuck submitted and my interview complete, seriously considering having Tuck as my only app this year lol.
^ That is what I did, Tuck is the only school I applied to this year, if I don't get in, then I will apply to my other school come next year, the way I figure, it wasn't to bad getting all the stuff together, just a lot of essay writing/rewriting, but I could see a clear improvement draft to draft, at the end of the day I think doing 4/5 schools wouldn't be to bad as long as I start the process in the summer.

My apologies for not responding earlier. Honestly, this is something you should ask the admissions committee. Send them an email and they should respond within a couple of days.
Good luck to all the EA applicants. Just a few notes. Don't expect to hear anything regarding an accept or reject until maybe a couple of days before the decision date. I think last year calls started 2 days, or could be 1 day, prior to the decision date. Calls are random so not getting a call on the first day does not mean you are not in. One week prior to the decision date, you should get an email saying something like "a decision is made" or something to that extent. This does not mean anything. Everyone gets this email.

I am from India so I did not schedule an on campus interview due to practical difficulties. Any idea how soon they will schedule offline interviews with candidates like me.
Note - if your application still says status "incomplete", that does not mean that you have forgotten to submit a portion of your application. It simply means they are processing your application and haven't gotten around to it yet. So, don't worry - I was afraid I had forgotten to submit a portion of my app.
The people and culture there were amazing, and I'm sure academics are same. I've mentioned this on another thread, but it's almost so that I hope I only get in to one school as then I won't have to choose...

Any wise words on the scholarship essay? Is it more of a 'get to know my values and aspirations' essay or is it a 'show me your accomplishments' essay? Depending on which one it is, the feel would of the essays would be very different.
