well as far as i know, it is important to make sure that there is some connection between A) and B)....i mean for example if you have worked with an orphanage during or before your college....make sure to mention that connection....the reason behind your involvement should be explored and talked about....

and as far as lack of involvement...well i dont have much to talk about it....but even if you did a tiny bit of work here and there....do include that....as the question B) specifically says 'continue contributing'.....hence the adcom does expect some amount of constant involvement......

at the same time...i guess you can use the B) essay space to mention how your involvement has gone down after college...but how you are still connected to the organizations you worked before.....etc etc....

what ever i typed above is just my opinion.....PM me if you do need some help !

Hi all,

Congrats to those who have been accepted! I applied for the r2 deadline and MSB is my first choice. However, I am concerned about my chances because of a low GMAT score. I only scored 570 and am taking it again in beginning of Feb. A little more about me:
3 years in Mgmt Consulting
Vanderbilt Univ. undergrad
Average amount of community service
Strong recommendations
Interview was OK, but kind of awkward

What do you all think I should do to compensate for my GMAT score? Do I have a shot at MSB? Anything helped you improve your score a lot that I could do over the next month?

retake the gmat--and take a kaplan course or manhattan gmat. just look at georgetowns avg and median scores. no offense but i doubt anything you do can compensate for the gmat score. just my honest 2 cents

You will have to bump it up to AT LEAST 680. Gtown is still a pretty competitive school.

ok i called them up:
acceptance EMAILS (no calls) will be sent out tomorrow at ONE TIME but he isn't sure when but "by end of business" so 5pm. Scholarship info, if any, will also be in the email or separate email.. Welcome packages will be arriving few days later.
So the take away is NOTHING HAPPENING TODAY, TOMORROW 9-5pm we will all receive EMAIL. Cheers!
