How are people generally approaching some of the questions in the application form. Say for example, the accomplishment and significant challenge questions within the employment section?

Are you generally just picking the best accomplishment you have on your resume?

Yes, this is how I answered it. My best accomplishments were directly from my resume.

F it. I went ahead and submitted mine today. Figure I beat the weekend crowd, and there isn't much I can do with 5 days remaining to significantly bolster my application. Gonna take a breather and watch the opening game of this year's NFL season.

Good luck all.

I'm with you. I am just changing things for the sake of change. Hit submit 5 minutes ago... Good luck!

Good Luck Everyone!

P.S. In the haste of seeing the email notification, my mind read it as "Just admitted! Good Luck everyone."
Took a minute to process.

I ultimately was able to get my resume down to 1 1/4 pages but nothing further than that, and that was even with 10 font and narrow margins. Since I spilled over onto the second page I figured it'd be better to just take up the entire page with better formatting, so I put it up to 11 font and normal margins, and spaced it all out a little better. Looks much more inviting now.

I kept 3-4 bullets each for the two jobs listed, 7 bullets for education and certifications, then the entire second page of my resume is volunteer work as I've been really active and it's all central to my argument (founded an organization in college - 4 bullets - and am very active in a non-profit now - 3 bullets - then 6 bullets for other important volunteer work I've done). So there wasn't really any more condensing or removing I could do. Oh well.

Is it advisable to write the essay in long sentences giving importance to the narrative and fewer words or write shorter sentences so that the reader is not lost and can understand better?

Huh? I'm not understanding something. A longer sentence doesn't inherently give "importance to the narrative," and a short sentence is not necessarily easier to understand.

You don't want to write run-on sentences, but you probably don't want to write all your sentences like Hemingway either.

I did not say that longer sentences inherently give importance to the narrative. Anyway, I got the answer that I was looking for from your reply. Thank you.

In your case I would try to trim all the certifications you got from your resume. There is an entire section in the app dedicated to tell the school about coursework/certifications. See if you can reduce your resume to 1 page!

After trying to convince myself several times that I did not include an irrelevant 'the' in my essays, I finally submitted the application.

Boy, clicking on that submit button is hard!

Good luck to all other applicants.
