I'm a R1 waitlist continuing on, but I believe the odds of getting in today from the R1 WL were about 20% or less (40 out of 200-250 on the waitlist). I believe those odds will plummet from here on out.

I am moving ahead with my alternatives, but remain on the WL.

Congrats matterhorn762! Way to represent the "older" folks. Making an estimation using the data from the Class of 2010, you represent one of the 25 admits who were older than 30 at matriculation! How special is that.

Yea, I do feel extremely grateful. I'll actually be 32 at matriculation, which takes me literally off their scale based on their chart. I'm not even an outlier, I'm off the chart! :shock: There are only 11 people 31+ years old. Crazy, isn't it! I'm looking forward to meeting all my classmates, because I certainly don't feel that old.

Just goes to show the odds CAN be broken... and those of you out there waitlisted should try to remain as hopeful as possible.

So, according to Eileen Chang's (waitlist manager) latest email, 40 out of 170 WLers have been admitted. Wow, that is more than what I expected, considering that there was a good number of WLers who didnt get interviewed. Should we again answer the poll and place ourselves on the waitlist? Not that I have much of a chance... (reality check)
