I didn't get an invite as well, kind of bummed, but not so much after reading some profiles here. I'm shocked by some of these dings.
I was wondering if there are any candidates out there with an invite who have a less than stellar academic background? Any invites with 3.0-3.3 GPA range, or 700 or below GMAT, or both?
mp2437, I got an ivite with only a 700 gmat but I am an international applicant... And my GPA is high and good WE in my opinion... So there is hope even for "low" gmat apps at HBS.
What is the most common question asked at HBS interviews? [serious, and important, and not a joke, altho I am game for joke answers too]
so lets play:
Tell me your opinion about trends in your industry.

good guess, and while that question does occur, along with related questions, such as "How as the downturn impacted your industry?" or "What challenges is your company facing and what would you do about them?" --industry questions are kind of welcome and expected, and do not throw you off. The most common question comes early, and often leaves candidates mildly puzzled. Any takers???

Oh, oh, I know!
Tell me something about yourself
This is a hard one, what do they expect us to answer?

Me. But since I'm in the "oddball" silo, I'm pretty sure they have different (that is, lower) standards for GPAs and test scores. Also, I took the GRE instead.
3.4 is a reasonable GPA, that falls within the middle 80% range. I'm more interested in anyone with a GPA below the 80% threshold (i.e - 3.2 and below).
not yet...I am in front of my laptop so I can schedule the interview ASAP, I guess hub spots would be very very limited...
Wait, if they are limited are we expected to just fly to Boston??

Yes...we are...actually, in R1 all the people from Latam had to fly to Boston to interview. We are lucky that they opened a hub in Sao Paulo, it makes it way easier and cheaper to schedule. I can fly back and forth in the same day...

Hi there, wonder if anyone got the updated email?

Yeah - it reached my Gmail account at about 5:03PM GMT. I scheduled a hub interview in London, and given how many days they are in town, there are a surpisingly small amount of comparative slots.
Getting time off of work is tricky for me, so I was complete with registration at about 5:03:35. Good luck everyone!
