well all the NYC spots for all the days are filled up. a good chunk of the boston ones are filled up... but there's still a ton more slots available for boston. also, there's still some spots available in the other hub cities. if you didn't get an invite already, i wouldnt lose all hope yet.
well using my google chrome skills, for boston, there are 454 slots, and 85 open
Chicago: 32 total slots, 10 open
Menlo park/san fran CA: 75 total slots, 42 open
LA: 12 total, 2 open
Asia: 70 total, 6 open
europe: 91 total, 39 open
NYC: 24 total, 0 open
of course this will likely continue to change in the next few hours, but this should give at least a rough estimate of what's left out there

AFTER RE-READ That's 574 taken spots, and does not include any interviewees who haven't scheduled one yet. If they are about to interview ~850 people for R1 I'd say there is a fairly small number left . No info about interview announcements today - either not yet, or not at all. Tomorrow is another day.
Is there any possibility that they are opening the actual scheduled interview slots up in waves as well, to ensure that all groups getting invites have a reasonable opportunity to get a time that works for them? In other words, even though it says all of those spaces are full, could they just not have released some of those spaces yet?
It might be a reach, but I still want to have hope.

That's 205 taken spots, but it does not include any Boston interviews - which could easily be double that, or any interviewees who haven't scheduled one yet. If they are about to interview ~850 people for R1 I'd say somewhere between 30-50% have been picked already. No info about interview announcements today - either not yet, or not at all. Reread the post, most of the Boston slots are showing taken... Only 85 of 454 left
I know that I am fooling myself - though maybe they will unlock the slots with further invites))) The picture with slots says that all (or almost all) invites were sent (those 180 left - will be occupied by noon - and do not forget about those that will not be occupied at all - minimum 50-100 - will interview by phone - and I see no point that adcom intentionally misinformed us on more invites...
MBAgirl, I think you missed the Boston stats which were hidden in that first line. There are 758 slots up on the site right now for all locations, and 184 are still open. So it looks like 574 have been filled already. They might be holding some of the slots for new invites, but I'd be surprised if there were too many more than 758 in R1. For a 900 person class, I thought they admitted 400 - 450 in R1 and since it's historically been 50 - 60% acceptance rate of interviewees, 758 sounds about right.
Definitely seems like they followed an interview distribution scheme more similar to last year's as opposed to trickling them out as they've tried to indicate! Still surprising though, since it seems like a number of folks who seemed like clear invites haven't heard yet...
