So, I may seem a bit angry and bitter because I did not get an invite. But what's the point in saying 'rest assured, many more invites are yet to go out'. What's the definition of many in HBS?

I agree with this (and I'm coming from a different angle because I did get an invite). I think the process last year was much nicer, when they explicitly stated how many invites went out and how many were left to come. This is very helpful in giving people closure.

Wharton is even taking this a step further this year. They sent out a specific date in November and said you would either get an invite or a denial by that date. So nice to be informed and be able to move on if you need to.

Seriously! They "tweeted" that there were more invites to come on Friday, but that's it.

I think they started sending out invites at 1pm EST in Friday. The tweet came out at 2pm EST indicating that more were in the pipeline which were sent out later in the evening in the same day. So all that may not be in line with

Does anybody know how long it took for HSB to review apps last year? This time it took them 16 days to review 4500 apps

I'm just sorry to hear this news today because I know there are still a lot of GMATClub folks waiting. I still have my fingers crossed that we'll get a few more folks interviewed since it sounds like there are are least 150 - 200 more invites that will be going out.

well put ... this is causing unnecessary angst for most folks.

Anyways - I am not going to lose anymore sleep over this.

There is no problem to review 4500 applications for 16 days. Though there is a problem with incredibly fast occupance of slots - I am sure that they were locked initially. I think that we may make only guesses about actual number of invites. Those 185 - are not for future invites - most of them are for current, and as I said - some of them will be left (phone interviews)

Thanks Eteusch1, appreciated. Can you just tell me what the total slots are (so I can see the %).

Strange that I haven't heard of any Indian candidates (is that true?)

i posted all the slots in the previous page of this thread, and several people have quoted that post on this page as well. just count the total # of slots in that post and that will give you the answer you're looking for

If we don't get an interview invitation for R1, do we get bumped to R2 or do we get a rejection letter?

You don't get bumped to R2. You either get an invite or you're done.....

Pretty gutted I didn't get an invite.

Agree with the others that the Twitter posting is misleading.

It looks like there were about 35 and there are 3 left available. Might be off on the 35 by 1 or 2 as I just quickly counted by hand... but definitely just 3 left.
