can someone help evaluate my profile

-academic 10/12 both above 80%
-College Bsc from du -1st division
-MBA(2yr) from TERI University in 2012-2014
Work ex almost 9yrs
-Worked as Lead in EY, India til 2020
-moved to Canada and worked Senior Management consultant- in the digital transformation/cloud consulting space till March 2024
-PMP and Six Sigma-certified -Green Belt
-Cloud Azure certified.


Have my exam on the 30th sep- what should be my aim and how to prepare for the essay and SOP (as this would be my second MBA) as the deadline is 9th of October

If we submit early,will we get notified earlier too?

Can anyone please tell If I miss R2 and apply in R3 will it hamper my chances. How much does R1/R2/R3 matter as factor while applying in IIM B ? I am trying hard to give GFE asap and catch R2 but if i miss how my chances will be impacted by applying in R3?

They are all equal. Round doesn’t matter!

@TheVDR not doubting you, but just asking out of curiosity. Are all the rounds really equal? All admission councilors etc., ask us to target R1.

I’ve confirmed it with Ad coms, Alumni, Friends who have been in B School Adcoms... they’ve all confirmed that Round doesn’t matter at all. I think round exists so that admission process can be divided into 2 or 3 seperate pools instead of one giant one. There is a school of thought which says it is better to apply in later rounds as competitive candidatures may also be put on hold in earlier rounds as adcoms may seek better profiles. I don’t believe in either, applying earlier or later but there is enough logic to support both 😂

The number of applicants is significantly higher in subsequent rounds. In one webinar, IIMB admission committee had highlighted that they get 30% more applications in R2 than R1. While the number of seats are same in each round, it is always advised to apply earlier to increase your chances. And if there is a good candidate, he/she is not put on hold to see competition in further rounds; he/she will be compared to peers in the same round and rolled out an offer.
For example, if the college has already selected a X type of cadidate with Y type of diversity in R1; they might not prefer the same XY combination in further rounds.

That being said, good GMAT score, a comprehensive application and stellar essays matter more than timing the rounds; so if you are underprepared do not apply and lose out on your chances.

Hello everyone, can anyone please evaluate my profile for admission chances at top 3 IIMs or ISB

10th= 94%
12th= 80%
BTech= 9.27 CGPA (NIT Patna)

GFE score= 625

Work ex= 9yrs in an oil PSU

During my college days, took the initiative to establish and co-found the student chapter of a reputed international professional society. Also, led the team representing my college for the first time at an international level vehicle design and speed competition and ended among Top 3 teams of the competition. As the General Secy of the student chapter was instrumental in organising a number of activities, workshops, seminars etc in the college.

While at college, I had also volunteered for teaching children living in slums nearby college premises.

In my professional journey till date, I have worked in 3 different roles at 4 different locations within India. Have received 3 progressions during the 9 years at my company. Was instrumental in implementation of flagship schemes of GOI in the most rural and tribal areas of the country. Have received recognition from the company for increasing digital reach among the customers and also for increasing profitability in commercial sales. Currently leading a team of 45 channel partners and have worked with more than 130 channel partners during my last 7 years experience in sales which has enriched my experience of working with and managing people with different dispositions, culture, age, financial capability, education, demography etc.

Have contributed multiple times in achieving All india highest volumes, profits and allied sales for my territory, sales area and channel partners with whom I have worked with.

I am fond of painting and and like writing on abstract topics concerning an individual or society

Has anyone heard back regarding R1 admits?

It will be out on 16th Sep

Did anyone here face technical issues while trying to register for applications to IIM B and C?
For IIM B, I am not able to get the login credentials to my email ID after I input all my details
For IIM C, I am not able to register with my email ID because apparently my account from last year still exists.

Better to make a new email id. Should solve both, B and C’s issue.

Anyone heard about the R1 results?
