See file size and file type and you will find the error.

The SOP word limit is mentioned in the application form; and applicants are expected to adhere to it. I do not advice any applicant who works with us to exceed this word count; if everyone else is following the word count and you are unable to summarize your own story within the limits defined, then it doesn’t bode too well for you.

It depends on what your college and course offered. Some colleges and courses provide marks year wise, some others semester wise. You can choose what was applicable in your case.
