Can anyone give me a scoop of the IB academy? Do you think it will be of much help to secure internships?

It's my understanding that most Kelley students in the IB or IM academy have to pretty much network their way to secure internships since not many firms come to campus.

It's my understanding that most Kelley students in the IB or IM academy have to pretty much network their way to secure internships since not many firms come to campus.

How did you arrive at this 'understanding' that "not many firms come to campus"? Have you reached out to career services? Have you checked out thier website? https://gcs.indiana.edu/gcs/employmentStats/index.cfm

Hey planC, I think there were ~130 prospectives this past weekend. I don't know the answer to your second question, but from what I've heard, yield from attendants at the weekend is quite high.

So perhaps 100-110 from the weekend will commit? No idea how many others have already accepted - sorry!

You should definitely apply! I think the best source of the info you need is https://kelley.iu.edu/mba/admissions/ or reach out to the adcom office. They should have an up-to-date summary of stats. Did you apply this year?

I emailed Prof. Haeberle about placement statistics and he said that for the class of 2010 they had one placement at Goldman and one placement at Citi in private wealth management, two IB placements, one at Silverwood Partners and one at Western Reserve Partners. Everyone else went into corporate finance or is still looking. Apparently the program is brand new and they have placed people into Corp Development which is pretty cool and for some is probably desirable vs M&A.

The Internship Scorecard is as follows for April 2010 in the IB academy. Sorry about the formatting.

Hello everyone,

Can anyone please tell me what happens if you pay your enrollment deposit and then decide not to attend in the Fall? Is it possible to withdraw your enrollment after paying your deposit?
