Im a mechanical engineer. My gmat score is 640 in my second attempt in August 2015.
I worked for 2 year 6 months in 2011-2013 in TCS(CAD project).
I have quit working later for personal reasons.
Can I apply for ISB this year with this score.
Is there any chance for my profile being evaluated?

Hi Mechmeera! With 640, less than 3yrs workex and a gap after 2013, there is hardly any chance at ISB. Understanding your profile and aspirations better, we may be able to propose the most feasible options.

Hi

Can anyone please tell me that in case of a reapplicant do I have to create a new profile? or the last year's credentials work?

I have already created a new profile though.

So which cycle is better for ISB... R1 or R2?

This should be the main takeaway for the majority of the applicants. I personally feel that CAs, Docs, PSU applicants (generally anyone who can add any form of diversity to the classroom) find it easier in either round :lol:

No... A candidate with a PSU background hardly has any chance in R1 and a CA or Doctor will find it very difficult to get in in R2... Trust me on this one...

Is there any specific reason why it is difficult for CA's and Doctor's to get into MBA programs ?.

I am a Chartered Accountant with experience of 3 years in to IT ERP Consulting with international client facing experience and looking forward to apply for ISB in next fall. Please advise me on my profile.
