Guys, just out of curiosity.. do they only give admit calls to US candidates? or international folks got calls too if they get admitted? if yes, then will they take into account the time difference?

raconteur, I suggest you start studying for the GMAT, you may or may not be able to take it before decisions are made. However, an improved score will be a benefit if you get in or not. If you get in its useful during recruiting and if you dont get in but decide to reapply next year you will have a head start.

kry, this is really deep stuff.. when i saw the roster, there were only 20 recipients out of a class of 500.. wow.... surely you'll pick Kellogg after this!!

yeah, I didn't know the significance of the scholarship until I saw someone post it on BW... don't forget, our illustrious terry12 is also a recipient. Both of us have very difficult decisions now...

The dean of admissions mentioned the number of recipients when she called... left me kind of stunned! Definitely have some thinking to do, kry. We'll see how DAK goes...

Kellogg seems to have been very free with smaller amounts. I know nervous, cfamiami, apolloluna, mba2010, mgoblue2, and I all got smaller amounts...I have talked to folks who have gotten 5-13k. However, they give out very few full and half rides, they give you the numbers at DAK but it was shocking how few there were considering their endowment is #3 behind only HBS and Stanford. I guess they dont have to try to do what BU does, buy the top students with lots of fullrides.

No wonder I've never heard of anyone getting a scholarship during the admit call... I thought Kellogg just did it differently (by filling out financial aid forms and stuff). I think the endowment is probably used to give more students smaller amounts to help them out with the cost. Which I think is a good thing. River, will have to ping you for help in getting to Kellogg and lodging. I know I posted the stuff you wrote on BW here. Is there anything else we need to be aware of? Good thing April should be warmer than February.
