According to BW forum, the Round 3 decisions have started to get released. Dont think many (if any) spots are left based on responses to waitlisted applicants.

I spoke to admissions yesterday. They said the class is full. No spots left.


Thats what I assumed. So this being the case, why cant they just release denial decisions to everyone from Round 3 and most of the waitlist?

I told them to add me to the summer wait list. I know the chances of getting a spot are slim, but I feel like I am getting my money's worth by staying in (yes, I do understand that my application fee and time are sunk costs).

That....or they had already made an allocation to round three or round three decisions.

So Im a round 3 applicant, and despite most others being removed from Waitlist, I get the pleasure of joining. What is the school doing by placing a Rd 3 applicant on the waitlist. Is there really any likelihood at all of being admitted? How large is the waitlist at this point?

Browsing through the threads of other schools, it seems most of them have seen some wait list movement. Makes me wonder how come Kellogg has accepted so few candidates off the WL so far :shock:
Also, to keep expectations realistic, does any one know what is the size of the summer WL?

I don't believe Kellogg discloses the size of the waitlist or gives any indication of its size, so it's pretty tough if not impossible to estimate how many people are on it.

So I'm not holding out hope, but out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone on the summer wait list has heard positive or negative news. I sent a couple of updates about a month ago and never received any sort of confirmation or response that my info was received. You would think if they wait listed an applicant for the right reason they would at least respond. I get the feeling the Kellogg wait list is intended for admissions stats only. I feel it is grossly inflated, well beyond what is even reasonable.
