that`s definitely scared then :)
Since I was sure that once you are invited to the interview - the chances are at least 50 %
now I doubt this statement

and one more note - it seems as if they send the dings in the early morning right?

Well, if the 50% theory is true then he's at the wrong end of that 50% chance, unfortunately. There will be someone else who gets accepted. I wanted to ask, though - are there any published statistics about this 50% theory about waived then invited to interview by telephone candidates? I mean, the odds are great but how do we know if it is true?

I think there is too little data for us to draw meaningful conclusions about when the dings go out, when the Ad Comm calls, whether they are reviewing applications chronologically etc etc. I think we all just have to deal with the agony of waiting. The only thing that really annoys me is that people are getting dinged without emails! I'm sure it's just a temporary systemic error but it's really cruel to do that to someone who is waiting. And what's with the weekend dings?

Hi! Does anyone know if we are suppose to hear about scholarship applications right away when admitted?
I got the admission letter but don't know if you are suppose to apply somewhere.
Thanks in advance!
Hi ,
I had asked the same question, seems like we cannot apply for scholarships separately, either it's told with the admit call or as an update from the adcom later!
Keeping my fingers crossed!
All the best for you and the others who are waiting to hear as well!
Congrats for all those who have made it!

Buddy4u - Thanks for the info. Ok so if I got the e-mail, either it should have said something on it or I will hear later on? or was it that I will probably hear later on (if I am being considered for scholarships)?
I know that international candidates have specific scholarships and sponsorships since we can´t apply to some.

Hii buddy,
Yeah it will be in the admit letter/call.. else after u apply for the financial aid you shall here from them again.

But for all my 'to be' classmates, I have started to research the general scholarships that are available to graduate programs. And have a found a few that one can apply and am willing to share
1) Full bright => the deadline in India i see is over and they have to be pre-applied
2) Rotary scholarship => having a good amount of background in non-profit i am planning for this, but that the rotary clubs around my area in India should have enrolled with the scholarship call :(, checking it. And good news is they provide around 25000$ and that i have seen a post of a Kellogg alum getting this scholarship.

Will keep you all posted if in case im able to find more scholarship that can help us through the journey!
Thanks!

Still in limbo here too. They're sure taking their sweet time with some of us. I thought I had a pretty strong profile; I interviewed at both HBS and Stanford this round... but at this point I'm starting to question things...

Ding w no email for me as well. Wish they would have just sent this out earlier.. they clearly did not decide on this batch of dings over the weekend. Thought I had a compelling app, but that's how it goes sometimes I guess!

Alright, time to redouble efforts for r2!!

It seems to me like the dings that went on Friday were posted overnight on Thursday, I dont remember any coming in Friday afternoon or evening. So my baseless conjecture is that they put all the new dings in the system on Friday and then decided to wait until Monday/Sunday night to send them out in an attempt to not ruin people's weekend by giving them a ding on Friday at 6pm or something. I wonder what percentage of applicants have been reviewed at this point, seems like a lot of people have received decisions back one way or another at this point.

So you assume they were still reviewing some applications on friday? And the today's dings are the result of that revision?

I'm not sure, but i think the decisions are all ready since the start of disclosure.

How can they be dinging people while they're asleep? They must be just about getting to work right now. They must've put these results on the system during the day on Saturday or Sunday. But then there are some people who have only got noticed a change in their application status in the last few hours. Weird.

Too bad they couldn't set it up so the emails come out first. Seems pretty cold this way!

Mine still says "All the required elements of your application are complete," but maybe today's the day!
