Has Kellogg really notified students 2 weeks ahead of the decision date in past rounds / years?

Yes, I got my admit call on December 8, 2010 and the notification date was December 20! I think in previous years it has been the same case - they release them on a rolling basis.

Did you get a phone call, jowales, and if so, what time of day was it? I'm trying to limit the hours of the day/week where I stare at my phone obsessively :)

LOL - I know the obssessive feeling!!! I got a call from Deena Williams (who has now left Kellogg) around 2:45pm. She actually left a mesasge (b/c I turned my phone off as I was at a conference) and all she said was that I should call her back. I was sooo happy, panicked and scared all in one (just in case she was just asking for some documentation and I didnt actually get in yet) but when I called back I got the great news.

You guys are looking in the wrong place for your application status. The online application will never change from "submitted". You should go to the Check Application Status page from Kellogg's main site: https://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/Programs/FullTimeMBA/TakeAction/Check_Application_Status.aspx

Well does it say 'Completed' or does it say all elements are completed and if you have had your interview...... etc etc....

All the required elements of your application are complete.

If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. If your interview has not been conducted, the application will be submitted to the admissions committee upon completion of the interview. The next status check update will be the admission decision (Admit, Waitlist or Deny). When a decision has been rendered, the Office of Admissions will send you an email notifying you to check your status for your decision. Decisions will be released throughout the round, but the majority of decisions will be released during the last several weeks of the round.

This is what it says even if your interview has been completed.

It doesn't mention anything about interview waivers. I have an interview waiver and I see the same message. Should I check with the ad com?

I've kinda accepted the fact that it would be a reject. I just want to get it over with and get on with my life. It's painful to not hear anything for so long.

Sorry, I didn't mean to put you down. I hear you man. I want to get over with this too. But to answer your previous question, the status on the "Check application status website" only changes the following days after the notification I think.
