Long term lurker in the forum. I got a call this afternoon from an admissions officer, am in! I was shellshocked since I just got waitlisted by Ross and figured Kellogg wouldn't be hopeful. For those waiting or waitlisted, keep up hope guys, you never know!!!

FYI, Northwestern is my alma mater and I've spent over 5 years living in Evanston doing my undergrad and my engineering master's. If anyone on the forum has any questions about Evanston and what's it like living there as a student, please don't hesitate to send me a PM.

Thanks! I currently live in Chicago, interviewed December 28th, submitted application same day right after interview (didn't want to submit on last day for fear of data conjestion). I have an IT consulting and engineering background.

I think they will try to call Internationals nevertheless..

Should they cant reach you by the time they call, they will send email subsequently. So no worries for that if you are an admit.

Well, I had a phone interview at midnight, local time and the interviewer did apologize for a weird hour for the call. So am sure they'll call for the acceptance notification too :)

I am still shell shocked here in Afghanistan - I wake up early in the morning to take care of some business and I see an e-mail congratulating me that I got in! All I can say is thanks be to God! I was dinged from Harvard and didn't hear anything from NYU (applied to NYU, HBS, and Kellogg on 15 Sep - interviewed around 20 Jan via satellite phone - I am still deployed to Afghanistan with the Marines)

GMAT: 660
GPA: 3.6
WE: 4 years, Marine Corps Officer
EC: volunteering at church, taught English in Korea and China

I am so excited and hope we start hearing more acceptance letters from all of you!

This is what it said on the website:
