What does that bring the total number of waitlists to? I don't want to screw up the tally because I'm not sure which people were included in the last update.

I counted a total of 20.

What do you want to do post-MBA, where do you want to live during and after school, and do you have scholarship offers from either?

All else being equal, Kellogg is generally seen as a better school. Ross seems to be very strong regionally and is up there with UCLA, UVA, and UNC in terms of the best public schools, but Kellogg has a stronger national and international reputation.

If it was me, I wouldn't even blink and choose Kellogg. Not to be a ranking whore but Kellogg is consistently a top 5 program where as Ross is top 15. Not really comparable in this regard in my opinion. I think all the top schools basically offer the same opportunities and have the same types of classes and quality of professors and students. Thus pick the more prestigious program.

It depends on what you want to do. Kellogg isn't good as a finance school for example.

emont, should I guess from the number of exclamation points that you are choosing Haas then, or are you still undecided?

As of now, yes I'm still leaning towards Haas unless Kellogg throws a crazy amount of money at me.

Of course this is all pending next Tuesday's HBS notifications too.

I want to do Marketing post-graduation, and I want the option of going back to the West Coast afterwords.

Unless Ross gave you a ton of money, Kellogg should be a no-brainer.

I think those facts make Kellogg a pretty easy decision then, seeing how it's widely recognized as the top MBA program for marketing and because you'll probably have an easier time with non-midwest job placement coming from Kellogg. Not saying Ross would make that route impossible by any means, but given a choice you might as well go to the best school for your goals that you possibly can.
