i've been reading this blog the last few weeks- so thanks to all for sharing the info. i myself am a R2 WL and am also frustrated that we haven't heard anything yet
Some friends at Kellogg told me that they have been letting people off the waitlist over the past several weeks (~15-20 people), so there has been movement. I just think it's been fairly limited.

I also have a friend whose a current student that said the same thing. Kellogg had a below expected yield this year and will be (or alrdy have from the looks of it) letting a handful of WLers in...

Kellogg has been letting people in off the WL (not a lot, but a little more than usual), but it sounds like it's been slowing down. I'm assuming the admission round is going to follow a similar pattern to the last rounds. Admits early in the cycle, WLers/denials later in the cycle.
Did anybody get a call today? I felt like calling Admissions just now, as it's 5 PM in Chicago and haven't received any word whatsoever....so frustrating! I had thought we were supposed to hear something today....

How are current students in the know of this? I know they are part of the admission process. Are they involved all the way into the waitlist process?
I've always found this a little awkward. It's like having a peer evaluate your profile. Blatantly selling yourself to your peers, what a weird concept.
I just see this in the website " For Round 2 wait listed applicants, we anticipate making admit and deny decisions off the waitlist April 19 and May 11. Round 2 wait listed applicants who do not receive a decision by May 11 will be notified and given the option to either remove themselves from our waitlist or continue to remain on the waitlist"
This mean we gonna take another month for this waiting period???? T_T
I think it means that if you didn't hear anything by yesterday that you're probably waitlisted for the summer, which I think isn't very predictable. Basically, now they'll look at people after the next deposit date. Just my thoughts though.
there will be one more round of admits after the round 3 deposit deadline... then a bunch of dings prior to the summer waitlist... my guess based on research on this board and elsewhere.
I sent my WL contact an email on wednesday and got a response saying that their deadlines are more like target dates. They expect to continue to release decisions in next couple of days.
