I received a wake up call from Kathy from Admissions at 7:50am Shanghai time (near 6pm Evanston time)! She informed me that I had been accepted into the 2 year program. After I came out of my sleeping stupor I realized the enormity of the information and shrieked. To which she replied, I hope that means it's good news! Which of course, it is. I'm accepting their offer!

My GMAT score is an even 700 - high quant, low verbal. I was an economics major / accounting minor from a top 20 public university with a 3.4 GPA. I started my career in public accounting, earned my CPA, moved onto private equity investment management before I took some time off to travel the world ... bringing me to Kenya to do some non-profit consulting at a microfinance institution then to a start up in Shanghai, where I currently work.

I sent in two updates to my WL manager, one in mid January and one just one week ago (in anticipation of this first notification deadline). In my first conversation with my WL manager, she offered specific feedback that she wanted me to address in my first letter about my career track record & forward focus. In my second letter I included two significant updates - 1 professional (additional responsibility) and 1 personal (EC) as well as talking about the reasons why Kellogg is a good fit for me, including a few anecdotes about alumnae I've met in the past year traveling around the world.

Hope this helps. Keep your faith. Good things DO happen to those who wait.

I was accepted into the JD/MBA program on Monday Feb.21 as well. It was one of the best phone calls I have ever received in my life!

My stats: 700 GMAT score, 3.95 GPA from the University of Texas-Austin, Mechanical Engineering undergraduate. 4 years of work experience in environmental consulting.

I sent one update approximately two weeks before, which outlined my short-term and long-term goals in more specific details. I also mentioned a world trip that I had just completed, and I mentioned that I was presenting at SXSW Interactive.

I found this thread very reassuring to know that others were in my same boat. Best of luck to everyone still waiting!

Congratulations! This doesn't bode well for my chances because I have a similar background...however, I am applying to the FT MBA program only. Keeping my fingers crossed for March 18.

Did AdCom want more specific details on your goals or did you offer them on your own?

Thanks. The JD/MBA program is very targeted with only 25 people accepted per year, so I am sure they are treated separately in the admissions process.

As for the adcom, they did ask me to provide more detail about my short-term and long-term goals. My essay #1 had some lofty goals; so the update provided more concrete steps to get there!

Best of luck.

Hi guys,

I recently sent a note to Kellogg that I will not be joining their class of 2013, so I hope one of you gets my spot. Good luck!

Trying to! Was told by the adcom not to expect any waitlist decisions until the deadline, since they are in the midst of R2s. So one more week to go!
