First non-refundable deposit looks like its due 21/22 January. Does anyone know if the admitted students weekend is usually before that date or after? I haven't had a chance to go to campus and would like to do that and meet other students before making a final decision.
At least last year the scholarship decisions came later, but then again I am not sure how much has changed cause we didnt have that essay you are talking about in the mail, it was one of the obligatory ones in the application already.
Maybe to decrease the acceptance rate and increase yield? If they admit someone who's also gotten into a school they prefer over LBS, that applicant is not going to write the additional essay, and LBS can book it as a rejection, not as an admit who didn't attend LBS. The problem is that LBS doesn't disclose admissions or yield rates anyway ...
How good is LBS really? What American schools would you compare it to? There is such a huge variation across rankings that it is impossible to understand the kind of school it is.
