It seems like this year is the quietest of all past years for applicants to this program. Where is everyone? Did anyone submit for todays R1 deadline? Best of luck! I just sent in my application and now in the waiting window! I've seen some info about what an interview might look like but the source of information seems all over the board. What exactly is this Data Visualization topic that keeps being mentioned? The class was large last year, has anyone connected with current students to learn about the dynamic on campus? It seems interview calls may come as early as Oct 22? Excited for the opportunity to meet and hear everyone's story.

mike , I just heard form one of my acquaintance that R1 Waitlist candidates have received Admit yesterday.. hence no idea why we are still on WL from R1.... hung state is not good.

Thanks again for the info. I agree that we should remain optimistic. I plan to hold out as long as possible, and continue to reevaluate things on a daily basis. To mitigate some of this, we are in the process of moving to Boston now. I’ve begun looking for work in the Greater Boston area in case I remain waitlisted indefinitely. Has anyone else noticed the # of people with deferred status on the decision tracker? For some reason, the number of people deferred shows up as zero at the top of the tracker, but the bar chart below it shows a much different number. This year, the number of deferred applicants is 11, and last year it was 49. If this is accurate, it confirms my theory that COVID produced an abnormally high number of deferrals last year, which would mean fewer available seats this year. Again, I am not sure where the data in the bar chart is being pulled from, so it may not be accurate. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Best, Mike
