I’m also in the midst of my gmat studying but the new rule that gmat scores need to be submitted by December is helpful! Yes, let’s post stats.

Yea that’s a really nice change! I’m definitely going to be switching gears the next month, so that I can focus on this application. Some stats:
-WE: 4 years as an engineer at a major defense contractor
-Undergrad: nuclear engineering with a math minor at a large state school
-GPA: 3.2
-GMAT: Work in progess. Currently scoring a 650 (39Q/40V) on official practice tests.

I just submitted my application for Round 1.

My stats are:

-WE: 1.5 years as an accountant
-Undergrad: Finance at a small state school
-GPA: 3.1
-GMAT: Taking the GMAT in October. I got a 640 (44Q, 35V) on the official practice test.

I have a good story to justify how low my GPA is and I also showed an upward trend with my GPA. I hope I do well enough on the GMAT to be accepted. I'm aiming for a 680.

I heard that it’s more competitive to apply with at least 2 years experience to MLT MBA Prep even though 1 is required. Thoughts?

I'm sure that's a factor since they look at your entire application holistically. I'm still going to try my best to do well in the interview and GMAT and hopefully get accepted. Plus if I don't get in I can always try again next year.

I submitted my application on 08/30 and got an invite for an interview 09/03. I heard it was a mix of video and written per last years applicants. Im actually going to be on a call with an admissions director for MLT tomorrow around lunch time. I'll update what she tells me after my call.

Debrief from call:

So I spoke with MLT’s Associate Director, MBA Program Recruitment & Admissions and was given these things to be mindful of when interviewing:

Be concise & direct
4-5 questions
Video responses for questions
Should take you around 30-45 mins to complete

Our conversation lasted less than the scheduled 39 mins due to her limited scope of the questions. It appears the questions we’re changed a bit this year. She stated she had just assume this role this year.

Past MLT Stats she made note of:

GMAT or GRE equivalencies In scores should be above a 500 ( 500 is the floor)
Accepted candidates range from last years class scores ranged from a 570-700

In addition, your application is looked at more than just your score, so don’t get hung up on having the a certain score Remember your enlisting in this program to be a better you. If your scores aren’t where they need to be then keep working on them as you will be expected to do so.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I really appreciate it! Also in one of the MLT webinars i joined, it was mentioned that last year's class had an initial GMAT average of 610.

I wouldn’t hold that to gospel for the 610. Just like with b school applications, there are many factors that go into the decision process. Even if your less than that you still could get into the program.

Submitted my app on 8/27 and I also got the interview invite on 9/3. From what I’ve seen on past threads, the advice seemed to be really know your story and practice the STAR response method.
