It's the same for my application too. I submitted it on 31-March.

Thank you for sharing this. I have been interviewed last week and has not received any reply yet. Anyone who has been reviewed this April? Have you heard from NUS yet? Thanks!

It's not a problem. They addressed this point directly on their contact us page.

On 18th April, and 25th April, I had conversations with the admissions office at NUS, to understand the prospects of my application. In the process, I got to learn a couple of things, which I would like to share via this post. Please note that my intent is not to hurt anyone, but to state the real facts and analysis, for the benefit of others who want to pursue the institute.

*Please note that these points pertain specifically to Full Time MBA program, and not the part-time one.

1) There are "too few" seats (currently 0 seats, in fact) and "way too many" waitlisted candidates.

2) They have already filled their seats (which means that they have sent out admits + the admits have actually paid the commitment fee).

3) This year, the competition has been tougher.

For these reasons, I unfortunately, have some bad news to share for all the candidates still awaiting results from the college:

1) People who haven't been interviewed yet, and are expecting the call: In direct words from the institute, as was in my case, "If you haven't received an interview call, consider this a reject and reapply next year."

2) Currently waitlisted folks: Waitlist runs in hundreds, and they don't currently have any spots. I think, from my experience last year, there will be merely 2-3 admits from the pool of 100s of waitlisted candidates, owing to the expedited competition this year.

3) Appeared for interview, but haven't heard back from the college yet: The outcome, I am really sorry to say, is most likely a reject or a waitlist. Since ALL THE SEATS ARE FILLED UP, there isn't a spot to place you.

All in all, the institute is really slow in communicating updates, since it receives a huge number of applications each year. Instead of anxiously awaiting the results, I would recommend shifting focus to other institutes you've applied to. There are a lot of esteemed institutes to target, and NUS, no matter how awesome, is just one of them. Last year, I received reject notification by the end of August (had been on waitlist till then)

However, on the flip side, miracles do happen! If anyone gets an admit, DM me. I'll be more than happy for you!

Is this the case even for the part time program? Given that the part time program still has one more round of applications to go, it would be weird if the slots were already full...

Im very curious to know if the full slot pertains to both FT and PT MBA. They just had a webinar for PT MBA applicant this week and sent an email to encourage those who signed up to apply .

I inquired only about FT MBA. So, these pointers don't apply to the PT program.

Although my question might sound irrelevant, I am still intrigued to ask this: do you think that the level of competition for seats in the programs of MBA and MFin is similar, given both are taught by the same NUS Business School?

Would really appreciate any constructions review.

Got an interview on 19 April and recently got enrolled into PT MBA.
Interviewers were friendly and qns were similar to what were described in the interview debrief.

Just attended the webinar and I was surprise to hear that the cohort for PT MBA is 120 students ?
I always thought PT class is around 50-60 students

Anyone has any idea on class size for PT class this coming august ?

Round 1 applicant here. Received a "conditional offer" today which is subject to final evaluation process. Guessing it means a waitlist.

Re: Calling All NUS 2021 Applicants (Class of 2023) [#permalink]
Hi All,

I have admits from both NUS and NTU for FT MBA programs. I have a seven year work-ex in advisory, want to switch to finance/consulting. Which college will be better for me?

I have a personal preference for NTU since its a shorter course and I can finish my internship in 1.5 years, if need be, instead of spending 1.5 years and NUS and then having to pursure 6-month internship later. Am confused. Any advice ie helpful.

Thanks
