With 100% admission success rate for 2025 intake and 100% interview calls for R1 of 2026 intake, we have been getting a lot of calls recently on how to best startegise the profile and application for NUS Masters’? If GMAT/GRE isn’t required, what really matters?
With the deadline for its Masters programmes on 28 February, here’s everything you need to know:
1. Goal alignment is paramount: How well researched it is? How realistic it is? Your CV + application shouldn’t just be focused towards finance, but towards your short term goal in particular.
2. Extracurriculars aren’t relevant till the time they showcase transferable skills for finance industry. Society engagements, research work, community service - all of this is important, however it’s more about how you’re presenting them.
3. Prepare financial docs early: Most students don’t submit it given that these are optional. However, being ready with these does establish a positive bias in front of the adcom which ALWAYS helps.
4. Research about the university: Engagement with alumini, admission committee, social media team platforms. Mentioning the same clubs, professors, modules that are easily visible on website and brochure won’t make the cut. Go one step beyond!
