Has any of the international students who filed the AFCOE received his/her DS-2019/I-20 yet? I filed the AFCOE and all the other related documents about 6 weeks ago and still haven't heard from the OISS.

Thanks and congrats to all fellow admits!

Congrats! Did you apply in R2? I applied for Summer Start as well and they said decisions would roll out as of May 1

I started the Kroll process the first week of April, and haven't heard anything back from NYU yet. When I contacted them last week, they said they would email me when the results were in, but I still haven't gotten anything. Should I be worried? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? The deadline for verification was May 1st...

For what it's worth it took them about 8 weeks before they contacted me... The waiting game is annoying but I don't think you have to worry. It is probably that they still haven't reviewed your report. I know for a fact that they received my report from Kroll about 2 weeks after I submitted the forms but it wasn't until another 6 weeks before the school's representative got back to me.

it took a week for me but i think my work was pretty easily since my 2 employers both used the work number. i called nyu after i submitted the forms and they said the verification process can take anywhere from a week to a couple of months. they told me to just sit tight. i heard it's pretty hard to fail kroll unless you just blatantly lied about where you worked.

yea my company uses work number too. mine took about two weeks. i think that expedites things.

Thanks for the insight guys! If I'm a Summer Start student, I guess that means I can't register for classes until they review my Kroll report, which I was assuming they would try to look at 1st since I am a Summer Start person.

For what it's worth, when I interviewed, my interviewer said that nobody gets admitted w/o being interviewed. Hopefully the new info you provided to Stern leads to them inviting you for an interview. Good luck!

Thank you saahilsajnani for the response :)
I actually contacted the OISS a few weeks ago and was told that the processing of requests is longer this year due to a switch to a new database system. I just wish I knew when to expect the form - it's been more than 7 weeks now.

In case you guys are interested about recruiting stats, the Stern MBA Class of 2011 is about a week away from graduation. 73% of us already have secured at least one offer. This number may be a bit higher because I know some of us simply haven't reported offers to the career development folks.

And to give you some further food for thought, here are the top 20 recruiters of Stern MBAs (offered and accepted) from the Class of 2011. I'm not including specific numbers, but these 20 recruiters hired about 35% of our class.

2. Citi
3. Deloitte Consulting
4. Deutsche Bank
5. Bank of America Merrill Lynch
6. Barclays Capital Group
7. JPMorgan
8. McKinsey & Company, Inc.

14. Accenture
15. Booz & Company
16. Boston Consulting Group

For reference, since I appreciate when people post status updates:

Rejected today without interview (applied 3rd round) - 770 GMAT, 3.2 undergrad GPA from a top U.S. public university.

Will probably try again (earlier) next year and focus more on the essay. Good luck to everyone. This board has been very helpful.
