It's been awfully quiet after a couple of people mentioned getting an interview invitation early last week. The thread was buzzing with invites by this date in 2010. Either AdCom is pushing more invitations back this year compared to last or we have more lurkers than usual :)

This waiting game indeed sucks.

I was just perusing through last year's thread and it looks like interview invites just trickled in throughout December and January; I actually like this as you're not left feeling like "dammit why is everyone else on this forum getting an interview invite and I'm not! I'm a ding and I know it!" You know what I mean?

Also, I noticed that no one from last year's thread actually matriculated- can that really be true?

well, i haven't gotten an interview invite. but i did receive an invite for a trek in la (i'm in the area) that mesa (media entertainment & sports association) takes annually to meet with companies.

anyone else get anything similar?

I got that email invite for MESA trek reception as well. It was quiet cruel for them to send it in that specific format. It said everything right.. that I applied and I am invited ... well, for the MESA trek in LA.

Yep I got the MESA email too. Well at least now we know that they won't ding us before January 4th - that would just be one cruel joke :P

In looking @ last year's forum I noticed that there were no interview invites doled out in December past 12/22; this leads me to assume that if you don't hear anything by next Friday that you're likely safe until the new year (perhaps the admissions office takes the last week of December off). I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing- more waiting, but it's not a ding!

Yes! Paul Allen is absolutly from American Psycho. You remember the business card scene, right?

Anyway, I submitted my application a couple hours before midnight on December 14th. Just under the wire!
